Not the best picture.. but it was my view from the very last session!
Last weekend... It was CONFERENCE WEEKEND! Sooooo amazing! It was definitely needed and made me feel so much better about life! On like Wednesday I was chatting with my friend Dane and I had mentioned that I wanted to find tickets to conference, well he invited me to go with him but I wasn't so sure if I was going to be able to go because we were going to have a Final 4 Party... I was TORN! I knew that conference would probably be a better choice.. more inspiring.. but I REALLY wanted to go to this Final 4 party... however I did not tell Dane that that was why I hadn't said yes. So... Friday night came along and I got a message on Facebook from Dane telling me that he wanted to try and get tickets for the morning session and then go to the afternoon session also.... I texted him but it was at like 12:30 AM... well along came saturday morning and my phone rang at about 7:15 AM, I was awake because of my lovely stomach problems. I usually wake up anywhere between 7:15-7:45 with my stomach just hurting. Sooooo..... I was already awake and I answered (in a very groggy morning voice) and he said do you want to go? And I said... SURE! What the heck! I should go to conference and then I can go to the Final 4 Party after (since the first game started at 4) I figured I would make it for about half of that game.
So I drove down to the conference center, got out of my car, walked up through all of the lovely street preachers, and held out a sign begging for 2 tickets to conference! Lo and behold! I got them! And we got to sit pretty close! So that was super sweet! It was an amazing session, I always feel so great after! That first session ended and we went and ate some really good Chinese food, then we got some frozen yogurt! YUM! Thanks Dane! During that 2 hour break I found out that the Final 4 party was off... BUMMER! But I was o with it since I was going to be late anyways! Then we went to the second session, and it was equally amazing! It has to be one of the best weekends of the year! After conference I drove home and turned the game on! It was a good game and very good on my bracket too! Both of my teams won!! Wahoo! I watched the games and my brother in law brought over his kids and we watched them while all of the men went to the Priesthood Session. We watched Tangled... ohhhh how I LOVE that movie!
This guy is my favorite down there.... Gotta Love It!
I really have the cutest nephews!!

Sunday morning came around, my mother fixed a very good breakfast and we watched the Sunday Morning session of conference, and while watching I was texting my friend Darek about our mission reunion that was to take place that night (my mission president was called as an Area 70 so he was in town and I was SOO excited to see him!!) Darek had a ticket to the afternoon session but didn't want me to have to drive out there alone so I decided that I would go with him and try and get me a ticket into the afternoon session. My trusty "1 Ticket Please" sign did not fail me! And soon enough I was in the conference center watching the last session of conference. I sat by some people from Washington State that go to BYU and we chatted for a bit. It was fun meeting new people!
After conference I met back up with my mission friends and we headed to the reunion. It was sooo awkward at first but A LOT of fun! I talked to a lot of people and best of all I got a hug from my mission president. He is such an amazing man and I am SOO grateful that I was able to serve under him for all but 3 weeks of my mission. He taught me a lot and is always so inspiring! He spoke to us for a bit and then his wife spoke and she challenged all of us to go to the temple this week. Well I made that a goal and yesterday I was able to attend the temple and it was AMAZING!
My AMAZING mission president... Elder Esteban Resek
The Cute Sisters!! Love each of them!!
Reunited with my trainer! Katie Hatch
Before I talk about the temple... let me just say that I was VERY disappointed in the NCAA Championship game.. in my bracket I did pick UCONN so that was good for me (I took 4th in my bracket so I didn't win money but... I did beat Zackery McKee so he now owes me Cheesecake!!) But it was a very lame game and I was not completely satisfied!
Now back to the temple.....
I went with my brother (who leaves on his mission in 6 days to the West Indies) and our friend Nate. It was so great! I felt the Spirit a lot and I gained a stronger testimony and knowledge of how much He loves me! After I got all dressed to go home I was sitting waiting for Nate and Daniel to come out of the dressing room and I saw Elder Russell M. Nelson. THAT WAS THE HIGHLIGHT! It was so great, Nate came out of the dressing room and we went to talked to him for a second. Being in the presence of an apostle is something so amazing. I loved shaking his hand and just being in his presence in the temple.
After that amazing week, I had to wake up and come to school today... NOT something that I was looking forward to... but it is life and I had to do it! So hear I am... waiting for my last class to start. I left my camera in my car today but I will put all of the pictures on here today. I had an amazing few days! And I cannot wait till I am done with my commute to UVU! It will be so wonderful to be done with that drive and hopefully everything works out and I will be at USU in the fall! Life is good! I am grateful to be where I am in life and doing what I am doing!!
